National Registration & Accreditation 9/07/2008
The Council of the Australian Governments (COAG) signed an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for a National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for the Health Professions, commencing on 1 July 2010.

English Language Proficiency 14/03/2008
The Committee have resolved to accept the OET, as well as the IELTS, as evidence of English language proficiency.

Christmas Closure 18/12/2007
The office will be closed from 12noon on Friday 21 December 2007 and will re-open on Wednesday 2 January 2008.

Assessment Process Time Limit 23/10/2007
The OQAC have determined that the COTRB assessment process is valid for a period of five (5) years.

Revised Assessment Criteria 31/07/2007
As of 1 August 2007 the minimum criteria for the assessment process have been revised.

Call for Tender - Survey of Occupational Therapists 27/06/2007
The Council wishes to undertake a survey of new OT graduates and overseas-trained OTs who have completed the practice audit requirements.

Minimum Criteria - WFOT Approval 22/03/2007
Effective 16 June 2007, the minimum criteria for assessment will be amended.

National Registration AND Christmas Closure 11/12/2006
COTRB and OT AUSTRALIA are working together to push for full regulation of the profession.
The office will be closed from 12noon on Friday 22 December 2006 and will re-open on Monday 8 January 2007, but due to staff leave it will be operating on a skeleton staff during January.

English Language Criteria 20/07/2006
At its meeting on 26 June 2006 the Committee amended the accepted result for the English language test.

Dept Immigration & Multicultural Affairs - Skill Matching Database 2/06/2006
The Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs have developed a Skill Matching Database to assist Australian employers to identify prospective skilled employees from overseas.

Policy: Registration for Positions Not Identified as OT 4/03/2006
At its meeting held on 20 February 2006 the Council adopted a policy regarding the registration of occupational therapists who are working in positions which are not identified as "occupational therapist".

Policy: OT Support Staff 13/12/2005
At its meeting held on 15 October 2005, the Council adopted a policy regarding occupational therapy support staff.

WFOT Congress 2006 13/09/2005
The 14th WFOT Congress will be held in Sydney from 23 to 28 July 2006 and COTRB will have an information/exhibition booth at the Trade Exhibition.
